Server Donations

The Linux Users Group at UCF is working on a project to install a linux/opensource package mirror on campus. This project is intended to increase speed and convenience for UCF students who use these update and synchronization services. Currently, UCF has no representation in the online linux community, and this project is also intended to eventually establish that reputation. We currently have a rackmountable server which needs a new hard drive. Once we have this hardware, we will be able to install the server and get it running.

We are currently accepting donations for this project. If you would like to donate, either come to one of our meetings (the next meeting is Wednesday, April 18 in Math & Physics room 406) or contact our treasurer, Jeff Kois (via e-mail at shinrutalavaren@gmail.com or via telephone at (941) 391-4579). More specific information about this project is available here. We appreciate your support.
